Update!

I've decided I'm not very good at keeping up with this blog, but I should give you an update, anyway.

Dallace:
Will be three months old next Wednesday! She will also be going on her first plane ride to see all o my family next Wednesday. We couldn't be more excited! She smiles all the time now, sucks on her thumb in her sleep, and tries to giggle. We caught her giggling a little in her sleep the other day and Luke almost wasn't able to leave to go to work when he saw that. She loves anyone that will hold her and talk to her (except that one time at the buffet with aunt ashley ;) just kidding Ashley! ) Dallace has made our little family complete and I don't know what we did without her. I just can't believe she's already been around for a 1/4 of a year!Luke:
Luke has been studying his behind off for the RCT test. We're about 99% sure he got the job, we should find out anyday, now!

Tank:
Tank's life hasn't really changed much. He still likes to sleep, eat, and poop..a lot like Dallace.

Me:
Same old same old. Taking care of the family the best I know how. I'm trying to make sure I get my workout in everyday. I started a 90 day workout and can't wait to see how it turns out.

Things really couldn't be any better in our lives right now and we are so grateful!

Baby D

I just realized I have really been slacking (again) in the blog department. Dallace is 6 weeks old as of tomorrow. It's completely ridiculous how fast these last 6 weeks have gone by. I feel like we were just in the hospital looking at our beautiful little baby for the first time. Life is completely different, now and we couldn't be enjoying it more! Luke's aunt Jeannie just had a baby this last week. His name is Crew Jakob Olsen and is quite adorable!! We can't wait to see him in person. Luke has been great with Baby D. Every day he comes home from, says a quick hello to me and then makes a break for Dallace and tells her how much he missed and thought about her during the day. He makes sure to throw in a quick shout out of how he missed me, too..but I know the truth! It's so sweet to see how much he loves her. Tank has been really great overall. Don't get me wrong though, there have been a few days that I really did almost open the door and take off his collar. But then the next day wake up feeling so thankful I didn't actually find him a new home. He's a part of the family and I know he has to adjust to having a new baby in the house, too..and we need to give him some time for that. Now, what you're all waiting for the pictures-which I'm sure you scrolled down to see those first before reading the post-which is totally fine..I do the same thing with your blog

She's HERE!

Dallace Marie Watson
06/23/2009
6:14 a.m.
7 lbs 11 oz
22 inches

On Monday the 22nd I went in for a doctors appointment and my blood pressure had been relatively high the last few appointments leading the doctor to think I might have mild pre-eclampsia. After running a few tests the Friday before and then again on Monday he decided to send me on over to Labor & Delivery. After being monitored for a couple of hours they decided to go ahead and induce me. I wasn't ready at all for that. No bag packed (even though my sister-in-law, Ashley, had told me the night before I really should pack one). Husband at work & mom not arriving for two more days. But of course, her and I being healthy is the most important thing. I called Luke and told me we were having a baby, today! So, he left work right away and got there right after they admitted me. They started me on Pitocin about 2:00 in the afternoon and around 10:00 broke my water. After 8 hours I had only gone from 2 cm to 3 cm. Not a lot of progress. After they broke my water things progressed a bit faster. Around 5:30 I felt the need to push and sure enough I was between 9 1/2 cm and 10 cm and 100 % effaced. It was go time. We were all exhausted at this point, Luke had fallen asleep on the rolly chair next to my bed so I woke him up and told him it was time. I started pushing about 5:35 or 5:40 and Dallace was born at 6:15. She was absolutely perfect. She barely cried at all while the nurses weighed and measured her. Just a little cry every little bit to let them know she was cold. The second they put her on my chest is a moment I will NEVER forget. You can't prepare yourself at all for the overwhelming amount of love and joy you feel as when you see your child for the first time. Although I had never seen her before I instantly recognized her. Luke was able to hold it together during the whole birthing process..We only thought he would pass out a few times. But he even cut the cord! He cried. I cried. It was amazing. I can honestly say that this was the most amazing moment of my life thus far. I can't see anything else that could top it. I look forward to seeing how she grows (which is already too fast, just after one week there's been change). Dallace is the most beautiful baby I've ever seen and has already stolen the hearts of all those around her.

"morning" sickness..again, REALLY?

So, we have a bit over 2 weeks left of this pregnancy and somehow the "morning'' sickness that lasted all day everyday for the first 6 1/2 months has returned and is NOT holding back at all. For the past week or so I've been nauseous throughout the day-but only throwing up one or two times (the first battle with "morning" sickness was anywhere from 4-7 or even 8 times a day). As of this morning I feel like I've been kicked back 3 months. I can't even keep down a sip of water. The only thing that is and could make it worse..I'm having contractions every 4 or 5 minutes, and have figured out that throwing up is a lot worse during the middle of a contraction. I've decided I'm done with this whole pregnancy thing and Dallace should just come out..right now..well, at least today or tomorrow. Just needed to vent a little.

Slacker

I have been a MAJOR slacker in the blog world...until now. I am officially done with work and have nothing to do but wait for baby Dallace to get here so there are NO excuses for this thing not being up to date. So, here's an update for all of you!
There is quite a bit new with us: we went through the temple in April, We bought our first car, Luke started a new job, I quit mine, Tank leads a much more exciting life, and we are slowly but surely getting closer to meeting our daughter-Dallace Marie. I'll break it down for you a little bit more...

Brit & Dallace:
For about 3 weeks I had been having contractions off and on. I'm not talking braxton hicks, I mean hard to breathe every 3 minutes contractions. We went to the hospital twice where they proceeded to give me a shot of Terbutaline to stop the contractions. My OB told me to just hang in there till at least 36 weeks and after that
it would be perfectly safe to have her. I went to my doctor appointment today and I am 70 % effaced and 1 1/2 centimeters dilated. How exciting!! There actually is some kind of progress going on down there. Dr. Mulholland also set the date for me to be induced if she decides to not make her big appearance on her own, June 25th at 7:00 a.m. Now we wait. My mom won't be up here until the 23rd so, it'd be nice if she could hold out till then. We'll see.

Here is me at 36 weeks

Luke:

Luke started his new job out at Hanford a little over a month ago. Overall he is liking it. It's easy on him (he's just been training until now) and the schedule is perfect for family life. He quit the airport to go work out at the area and although he misses a few people he worked with out there he doesn't miss those 3:00 a.m. mornings in the slightest. He is really starting to get excited about little baby Dallace, too. He can't wait to see what she looks like but is still kind of freaked out when he can see or feel a foot stick out of my belly.

Here is Luke with our new car

Tank:
Tank is the happiest dog on the planet now that I'm home with him all day. He almost never has to go in his kennel. We go on walks and take naps. It's a pretty tough life, so he does get worn out and when given the opportunity will pass out anywhere he can..

Here he is on the couch
Here he is on the ground in front of the bed...too tired to jump on the bed

He could very well be sleeping behind my shades.

Here is on top of the couch...we woke him up..

So that's pretty much all that's new with us for now!
