UGH...this thing.

Here's a quick confession for you (because of something I read on Tasha's blogger)..I love reading other people's blogs but DESPISE working on my own. I think mainly this hatred comes from the fact that my camera takes pictures that are apparently rather large. (?) if that makes sense. I am pretty illiterate with most of computer issues. Because these pictures & videos are so large they take FOREVER to load. I get impatient, frustrated, distracted, and bored with the whole thing and how long they take to get on here. So that's why I don't do it. But deep down I would like to work on my blogger..so if anyone is computer savvy and wants to share a tip or two with me..you would be helping me keep some kind of record of my little family's life.

Recap of 2009

2009 was by far the fastest year I've lived through. There were so many exciting changes.

  • First, and foremost, our perfect baby girl, Dallace, was born on June 23.
  • Luke and I were sealed in the Columbia River Temple.
  • Luke quit Skywest and Tank took over for him.
  • Luke got two different jobs at Hanford that make him glow in the dark..oh wait, it's just the shirt.
  • We bought a wonderfully reliable car.
  • Dallace and Avery began what will be sure to grow into a perfect friendship as cousins.
  • Dallace met Santa and LOVED him!
  • Luke learned he can eat 100 wings in about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Had our first family photo shoot.
Without a doubt 2010 will be just as exciting as our new little family grows together and move on to bigger things.
This year we plan to:
DEFY GRAVITY

That's right, Defy gravity. The lyrics of the "Wicked" song will be our theme for this year.
There are so many things, people, events, and concepts that can bring all of us down so easily. Well not this year. This year we will:
  • Attend the temple regularly-regardless of how busy we get.
  • Pray and read TOGETHER everyday-there's always at least 5 minutes available.
  • Eat healthy & exercise-No food tastes as good as being in shape feels.
  • Show each other every day how much more we love one another than the day before-there's no excuse why we shouldn't.
  • We will make the hard choices with school/work/etc.-Failure isn't possible as long as we are together as a family and have the Gospel in our lives, because there is ALWAYS a way for us to succeed, even if that means a change in plans.
Nothing will keep us down this year. As a family we will try defying gravity.

6 Months

I can't believe it. Dallace is already 6 months old. She's been such a blessing in our lives and we love all the new little things she does each and everyday. She's starting to develop quite the funny little personality (definitely gets that from her dad). I just feel like it was yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital and I was so nervous for my mom to leave, because then I would be alone with this baby, MY baby!! Now, I can't imagine a moment without her. We love you, Dallace!

The blanket.

This is the story of Dallace, Tank, and The Blanket.

Dallace:
mmm..this blanket sure is nice to chew on
Tank:alright, little person, it's picture time-Let's go!

Dallace:I'll sit up for the picture but I'm not letting go of this blanket it's SO good!
Tank: Maybe I'll get a treat if I pose for the picture.

Dallace: Hey Tank, do you want to chew on the blanket, it's really nice. Really-you should try it
Tank:I don't know what you're talking about, little person.

Tank:wow, it does smell pretty good.
Dallace:See I told you!

Dallace:what's wrong, where are you going, Tank?
Tank:I shouldn't chew on that, the big people don't like it when I chew on stuff.

Dallace: it's okay, Tank. I still love you.
Tank: I love you, too, little person.

3 great thoughts

1. I have the perfect husband. He always has Dallace and I in mind when he does anything. He is very motivated and is not afraid of work. He is a perfect father. He loves his family with such a strong love and is willing to help any of them out, anytime, no questions asked, and without expecting anything in return. He knows how to motivate me if get discouraged about material things. He reminds me that our place might not have the nicest things, but it is the perfect home. He helps me out around the house and shows a deep appreciation for everything I do for our little family.

2. My daughter is perfect. She smiles everytime she sees me or Luke. She has got a new found love for Tank (*and Roxy-Joey and Ally's furry kid). She tries to talk pretty often lately. and very. VERY. LOUD. She sounds like a pterodactyl when she's "Talking". But she's the cutest pterodactyl I've ever seen. She loves to look in the mirror and go shopping with mom. I am so thankful that heavenly father believes in Luke and I enough to give us such an angel.

3.My family. I could not be luckier when it comes to family. Both mine and Luke's could not be any better. Luke's parents are like mine. And my family, although they hate that I live this far away, have accepted that I'm here with such a loving family.

4. The gospel. I am extremely grateful for the gospel and the testimony that I have built over the last 3 years. Having the priesthood in our home has been a blessing in itself.

The Lip

I just think the world needs to see it.
The Lip.
Right before Dallace gets REALLY upset this is what we see.
